Mika is so naive. Her friend(s), the Christies will drop her like a hot potato after this

debacle comes to show what a crook he is. All of her bloviating in support of him will do no good. She and Joe are with MSNBC, therefore, in Christie's eyes, she and Joe are both tainted. I'll bet he's not taking her calls now but she won't admit that. This is the way a guy like him works. If you are of no use to him, you are gone. Save your breath Mika and Joe, he's toast and in your heart of hearts you know this. Being friends with a potential Presidential candidate is NOT your path to being an "insider."

...whose main qualification is the Washingon consensus that he looked just adorable in his footsie pajamas sneaking into cocktail parties to kiss daddy goodnight.

With Zig for a dad, Mika has a lot of room to maneuver.

him is laughable. Mike and Joe are making a huge mistake in their stance, making fools of themselves really.

5. Actually, I suspect that Christie is holding on to ANY media person the least bit sympathetic

at this point. The tables already turned here - he needs them more than they need him.

If everything alleged on ANY of the major charges is proven, it is no longer good press for a 2016 run, but the media verdict on who he is and what he achieved with his entire life. He could soon be where Blagoavitch was before the charges actually came down. Imagine the rollercoaster ride this egotist has been on - when through a series of lucky breaks, he became not just the governor of NJ, but the media favorite Republican front runner.

He could survive this, but though the media says his polling numbers have not changed - any reasonable look at them show they have -- and it is most obvious in the head to head with Clinton. There was NO big news that made Clinton stronger - in fact, the last few weeks - in absence of Christie would be neutral to negative with the "hit list" non story and the Senate report. Yet there is a double digit change in her favor. This is real and it is always suppose to be harder to win back voters you lost vs voters you never had.

It could be his string of lucky breaks has been replaced by what his actions deserve.

I stopped following the Joe Scabs & Mika Mouse carnival in mid-Campaign'12, but flipped it on this morning because of all the anticipation about what they would say about the mayor's allegations. Dozing through it was enough to confirm that they assaulted her up and down. Joe is excellent at beating up on women, got his chops daily with Mika Mouse and years ago I sent them e-mails complaining about his beating up on PELOSI daily for a month.

So sure enough, he claimed that the mayor was "a hypocrite," because she was privately calling CRISTIE corrupt while publically praising him, that she was "corrupt" herself for lying to her constituents, that if he were what she said he was she should have been going through the legal channels. Mika murmured her Joe-support throughout. HALPERIN sort of defended the mayor, saying that she was trying to get the needed funds through cooperation, that speaking out would only garner her "getting shouted down, intimidation".

The Joe/Mika franchise is just beginning. They have been talked up for development into other venues, even a network morning show. The S&M gambit appears to be appealing to some kind of audience, maybe the 50 Shades fans.

Is kicking ass... ratings wise.

So basically they are saying their own network isn't credible and on a witch hunt?
