Betwixt "AWwwww!1" and "YipEEE!1": CHRISTIE verklempt over SPRINGSTEEN's mockery

Chris Christie Couldn't Bring Himself to Watch Springsteen Mock Him

Chris Christie is upset — he's upset at his staffers, he's upset at his appointees, but mostly, he's upset because his idol, Bruce Springsteen, made fun of him.

In what could be the New York Times' best parenthetical aside ever, the authors of a political analysis piece noted that Christie — who joked about the traffic scandal in December — couldn't take the jokes this time around.

(The governor could not bring himself to watch the traffic jam-themed parody of "Born to Run" sung by his idol, Bruce Springsteen, on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," though he was told by his college-age son, Andrew, that it was funny.)

Jimmy Fallon — who sings of Christie's toll booths of glory — called the New Jersey governor to warn him before the sketch aired.

I guess that's Yiddish. In german, "verklemmt" (pronounced "verklempt" in some dialects) means "stuck" or "jammed shut" in the sense of fitting too tight, when referring to an object.

(Referring to a person, "verklemmt" means being too shy to act.)

at the end "happy" (I'll post it here: )

*********QUOTE********

Wiktionary: overwhelmed, flustered, nervous; excited, overjoyed, happy

Urban Dictionary: Verklempt - choked with emotion (German verklemmt = emotionally inhibited in a convulsive way)
This is not FAKE Yiddish - unless you are one of the linguists who consider Yiddish a "fake", i.e. non-transformational language.
OY, vey. When that schmuck of a doctor told me I had cancer I got all verklempt.

I thought "angst" was too outsized. Any suggestion for "upset" or "pouty" will be appreciated. If not, I'll go with the Urban Dictionary, thanks.

That is too bad. I love the fact that Limbaugh was upset by this song parody

Christie said in the interview with Yahoo News that Fallon let him know the sketch, which starred New Jersey native and one of the governor's heroes Bruce Springsteen, was all in good fun.

Fallon needs to keep on Christie's good side for the occasional interview
