Snow cancels Chris Christie's inaugural celebration on Ellis Island

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie’s inauguration party tonight on Ellis Island has been canceled due to the weather, the planning committee announced this morning.

The celebration included a VIP reception for donors who gave above the $500 ticket price. That's off, too.

The natural part of Ellis is NY; while the surrounding landfill that makes up most of the current "island" is in NJ. There is a bridge to Ellis from Liberty State Park in NJ.

Liberty Island is all in NY, which explains why there is no bridge to the Statue of Liberty, although it is just as close to Liberty State Park.

Wonder how many people now wish they hadn't voted for Tony Soprano?
