(111,222 posts)I just wonder what's going on with the critter. I've only seen behavior anything like this when a doe is objecting to people getting too close to a new fawn.

(56,177 posts)and just happens to be an aggressive male and thaose traits start young...the guy really did get too close to that deer for the deer not to react...most would probably have run, but this guy is probably going to end up having a huge harem in his prime! Also, the guy was pushing the deer away, and the deer interpreted that as a fight for dominance...so he kept going...oh well, everyone's safe.

(18,585 posts)I've been around tame deer a few times, and that head butting is typical for yearling males.
