I picked the wrong bar
It was a beautiful day in DC yesterday and I went to the Irish Times to celebrate St Patricks Day. The Times is a very fun bar, even on St Patricks Day when it is packed and crazier than usual. Next door is the Dubliner, which is a nice bar also, although not as much fun, a little older crowd and kind of stuffy (lots of professional Irishmen) little did I know, President O'Bama was going to go to the Dubliner.
It was very cool. The Secret Service and then the President arrived. I think he was there for about an hour but it seemed like forever as the crowd on the pattio in front of the Times grew and grew to catch a view of the President Leaving the bar next door. Crowds were cheering, the crowd was festive and cheering wildly when the President came out.
I dont think we would see that out of Mittens or Rick Santorum, although, and I am not proud to admit this, Newt has been to the Irish Times a few times, i guess he was looking for his next newer younger wife.....
