Capitalism as Anti-Christ: A Poem

Animal screams and dying children: meat and chemicals;
Useful lusts and slick self-interest, commoditized and digitized;
profitable, engineered for war.

Robotic consumers will be the next generation --
robotic producers printing roboticized products
for robotic consumers using digital currencies
and roboticized warriors, endlessly obedient,
never questioning,
never tiring,
never
stopping

animal screams and dying children
are good business

The great beast's head is a once-proud eagle
that fed it's young with Native blood
chewed iron from the earth
and belched petroleum Hell into the skies

Empire, empire.
Exceptional empire.
Neither honesty nor hope
millions imprisioned
America, Guantanamo.

Billions imprisoned will pay even more
as it charges them for the chains
they die in,
for the company they keep.
