I worked for a guy that raised Ocelots as a hobby. He told me that of all the members of his association of big cat owners, those with Cougars had the least problems with aggression.
Personally, I don't believe any wild cats should be kept in a cage or in a domestic environment. Cougars are territorial creatures, and when developers build houses on their territory, there will likely be problems.

It was walking on leaf littler and twigs/branches, but was absolutely silent. And it wasn't even in stalking mode, just patrolling its turf.

Magnificent creature engineered to end other creature's lives.

If I ever encountered that in the wild, part of me would want to run, but part of me would want to try to play with it.
