GOP Fully Understands The Misery It Causes And Plans To Double Down.

Quit giving the GOP the "benefit of the doubt" saying that they don't get what they are doing or do not understand that their policies are damaging and even deadly. They fully know that are assholes and are determined act the way they do. To give them any benefit of doubt enables them. We should be getting in their face even militantly if we have to. You cannot face a bully without going after them and challenging them right to their face.

I realize a lot of DU'ers feel we have to take the good boy scout approach and act like the good guys and people will understand. A lot of voter look at that approach as weakness or cowardice. We are in a country that values fighting back rather than turning the other cheek or negotiating.

As a former military vet I support going on offense and being offensive when necessary.

No, but they've been very successful at fooling the public into thinking their goal is to reduce budget deficits.

Actually, Republicans NEED deficits more than anything else to achieve their long term overriding goal -- shrink government to a size that can be drowned in a bathtub.

The ONLY way they can do that is with Huge. Budget. Deficts.

The Powers That Be are smart enough to realize that programs like Social Security & Medicare are too popular to be elimated through the normal elctoral & legislative process. These programs will survive as long as there are funds to keep them going.

Hence, their strategy to Starve The Beast -- and that means one thing: Huge. Budget. Deficts.

Without an unemployment check I can't afford the gas to get there. Or food or rent or insurance.

WTF?

I have a beloved relative that was pretty liberal before drinking the Kool-Aid. I think I can feel how people did in the Civil War, with families fighting against families across a great divide. But, I can see how they're being manipulated against their best interests by calculating puppeteers who know which strings to pull.

and our State Senator. Congressman Camp's office HATES him, but our state Senator, Rick Jones speaks to him regularly. As crazy as Mr. Jones sounds on TV, my husband has been successful in getting him to change his mind on a few things, including keeping glaucoma on the list for patients on MMJ. My husband asks me to leave the room when he speaks to Camp's office because I yell at them - passed being diplomatic years ago. They are purposely destroying the economy, and they need to know that we know this.
