Those profile test you have to take to proceed in the employment process should be outlawed, they are basically irellevant.
I took one for a transportation company a few days ago and they said basically SORRY but your scores are outside of our limits, but if we change the limits and you are within them then we will contact you.
So essentially you are competing with a moving goalpost.
One of the questions was..... what is the priority....1. sweep the floor or 2. give great customer service.
Without context how and the hell are you suppose to answer that?
And we wonder why U-Emp is is still over 6%.... seems that company's don't want it to ever get low.

(8,646 posts)And that most companies need several different 'types' of people to keep their organization at its most efficient. Besides, different personality tests don't take into account how someone reacts in a particular situation...different people have different types of reactions and some research shows that is far more important than someone's base type. These tests are a major waste of time and money for most organizations.
There is one company that I wanted to work for. I was absolutely bonkers passionate about their product line. Loved it, had owned most of it for decades. It was the first place I went when I needed something in that category. I had their product line memorized. I knew my way around their stores. I did a 'pre-screen' before submitting my resume and I was rejected. Idiots. Their loss.
