Fox News analyst tells Tea Party group he can lead a military coup against Obama

A retired Army general and Fox News analyst told a Tea Party group that he would lead a military coup against the U.S. government, if only reluctantly.

Paul Vallely, a retired major general and senior military analyst for the conservative news channel, told the Surprise, Arizona, Tea Party Patriots during a Dec. 3 speech that other retired military personnel and veterans groups had contacted him about the possibility.

“I had a call this afternoon from Idaho, the gentleman said, ‘If I give you 250,000 Marines to go to Washington, will you lead them?’” Vallely said as the group laughed and gasped. “I said, ‘Yes, I will, I’ll surround the White House and I’ll surround the Capitol building, but it’s going to take physical presence to do things.”

Vallely, who has suggested a variety of extra-constitutional remedies to remove President Barack Obama from office, said extraordinary means were necessary to achieve the legislative results he wanted

1) I'm pretty sure he's lying. I doubt that call ever took place and certainly not from someone with the power to deliver those Marines.

2) How is this not blatant treason?

And I don't think we have any laws against sedition any more. Treason means aiding the Enemy and at this current we have no "real" enemies. Terrorists are just that, terrorists and not considered real enemies although the Republicans want them to be..We Are NOT At War....You MUST be at WAR to have real enemies....

That reminds me of a very bad joke that was once told to me by a patient in a mental hospital - really!

I used to work as a residential administrator at Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield, MS.

It was the mental hospital used in John Grisham movie A Time To Kill in fact, the conference room where our departmental meetings were held was converted into the office of Dr. Rodeheaver- the Dr. who had the files on somebody or other - and was the office that Sandra Bullock broke into

but that doesn't have anything to do with the joke. Anyway it is a little risque so I won't tell it here (if anyone wants to know the joke they can IM me . . . crickets
