normally have an advantage in midterm years, but yeah...they're being their own worst enemy. They'll mess around and put their foot in their mouth and scare away potential Republicans.
If their party ceases to be relevant in the future, it'll be their own fault.

However, Texas is in bad shape when it comes to thinking well
about our state and its people.

Many people are very sexist, racist, and fundie conservative.
I know that hurts to think about, but that's the way it is.
