Stupid fucking fundies LOL
Published on Jan 27, 2014
In the latest crazy Christian anti-masturbation video, masturbators are compared to dead soldiers. This one actually had a decent budget. Good to see this is what they are spending Jesus money on. They removed the original after I made my video so here is a mirror of it.

It so reminds me of this:

(11,804 posts)It is using the metaphor of spiritual warfare and briefly goes into a fantasy sequence in which a soldier sees another soldier on the battlefield (as a metaphor for talking to people about masterbation).

(11,804 posts)It is taken from words spoken to members of the Mormon Faith on a Mormon College Campus about masterbation and pron. Basically it is making the argument that some students there are watching Porn - and that their fellow students need to watch out for them (that's where the wounded soldier metaphor comes in).
It is not about influencing public policy, except in the sense that Mormons made this movie and Mormons are also allowed to vote.

(16,834 posts)'banging the bishop' before? That video actually encourages guys to run and tell their bishop if they suspect their buddy is masturbating! Where I come from, a guy would get his ass kicked all over town for talking about his roommate's masturbation to their preacher. Mormon culture is so fucking weird; I'll never get it. They really creep me out.

(3,596 posts)There is certainly a not-so-subtle statement about the "sin" of masturbation and the Mormon Church as others such as the RCC consider masturbation the sin of Onan.
But I took something different from the video. While masturbation is a component I saw the video speaking more to addiction to pornography which, as with any addiction, unbalances a person's life. I don't know any but have read about men who spend every free hour and every weekend engaged in watching pornography and masturbation. It consumes them.
Here the video suggests not that simple masturbation would lead to not going to church and being in a dark place but more the compulsive, seductive life of someone hooked on porn and of course from their sexual gratification.
Certainly the sub-text is don't masturbate but I think their major point is addiction to pornography. it is so widely available from any internet-connected device it can lead to an addiction.
I am all for healthy masturbation and I criticize churches and others who claim it is a sin against God to spill your seed. I wonder what the good book has to say about female masturbation since there is no "seed" to spill?
At the same time it is true that addition to pornography can negatively affect lives, destroy marriages and families and, when women (or men) begin to be seen as sex objects rather than people, pornography does society a great disservice.
