Don't you love how Republicans claim they're all about the children until it's inconvenient? They're so valiant, standing for those poor persecuted imaginary 'children' lost forever to abortions.

But when the kids are actual flesh and blood, they don't give a damn. If they did, they'd limit their attacks on Wendy Davis to her pHer daughters have had enough and are speaking out. PoliticusUSA has the full text of their letters. First, Dru:

My name is Dru Davis and I am Wendy Davis’s daughter. I hate that I feel the need to write this, but I have been reading and hearing so many untrue things about my mom and I want to set the record straight. And sadly I feel the need to be crystal clear on the malicious and false charge of abandonment as nothing could be further from the truth. My mom has always shared equally in the care and custody of my sister and me.olicies instead of going after her personally for her history and making specious claims that she abandoned her children to go to school.

...I applaud Wendy Davis's clever strategy. When the response is given by your daughters, it serves as a reminder that those attacks affected those daughters as well. It brings home the point that these Republican attackers are nothing but bullies, powering up on yet another victim.

It's about time that Democrats started fighting back with tactics like this.

The time for playing nice is finished. We need to hit back and hit back hard. Republicans are nothing but bullies, and the only way to beat them is to amplify their words back to them and shame them into shutting up.

We are the good guys. It's time to speak out loudly and with smart responses like this.

4. I'd like your thoughts on whether having the daughters enter the conversation might negate the basic

notion that a candidate's children are off-limits. I know the gop hasn't been very respectful of that so it may not be a concern, but my thought was the gop would go after the girls and then claim "well, they were the ones who entered the political arena."

5. In my opinion...

…if anyone "goes after" these girls--the people attacking them will look like villains. I think the Republicans are hamstrung at this point. The Dems won this round.

Also, I don't know what they could "go after" these young women for? Unless they've got criminal records or other obvious scandals, I don't see any benefit to the Republicans in going after them. It would only further cement the notion that Republicans are all a bunch of elitist, misogynistic, white men.

Now, if Republicans further the lies (that the daughters refuted), it will appear as if the Republicans are not only attacking the candidate, but also calling her daughters liars.

Dem win--all around. And rightfully so. The initial arguments were sloppy lies and character attacks.
