Unfortunately MSM Will Pick Apart And Parse Every Word The President Utters In Tonight's SOTU.....

address. Equally unfortunate - the media will let the 4 Repug responses to the President's speech go out without any of the same kind of analysis.

You can expect these SOTU responses by the Repugs to be full of lies, half truths and insane ideas.

Unfortunately - many Americans will be fooled by the Repug responses and take them as gospel truth.

Since Reagan started the 'special guest stars' gimmick, the SOTU has turned more and more every year into a Washington media extravaganza and self-indulgent orgy.

Now, even the Congresspeople are getting in on the act by making a big deal about who their 'guest stars' are that they invited.

Whatever I need to know about what the President says in the SOTU, I can read about in tomorrow's newspaper/web sites.

I certainly don't need the news 'contributors' parsing of every sentence utter by the President.

And ... frankly, even the Presidents' speeches are long on rhetoric and very short on actionable substance (I'm not just saying this of Obama, it was true of Bush and Clinton, too).

in order to keep the Eternal Red versus Blue Kabuki Charade going and pretend there are significant differences in the directions of the parties. But they won't really pick apart a damned thing.

For example, they will not even *mention* the blazing, nuclear absurdity and vicious mendacity of claiming to want to focus on "inequality"....

....while simultaneously pushing to fast-track the most secretive, predatory corporate assault in US history, that will force Americans to compete with Third World wages and allow global corporate predators to supersede national regulations, rights, and protections.
