Rep. Michael Grimm, the Staten Island Republican, has released a statement about tonight's incident in the Capitol in which he reportedly told a NY1 reporter, among other things: "I'll break you in half. Like a boy." Here's the statement, according to NY1:
I was extremely annoyed because I was doing NY1 a favor by rushing to do their interview first in lieu of several other requests. The reporter knew that I was in a hurry and was only there to comment on the State of the Union, but insisted on taking a disrespectful and cheap shot at the end of the interview, because I did not have time to speak off-topic. I verbally took the reporter to task and told him off, because I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect, especially when I go out of my way to do that reporter a favor. I doubt that I am the first Member of Congress to tell off a reporter, and I am sure I wont be the last.

....Scotto then tried to ask the congressman about the ongoing federal investigation into his 2010 campaign fundraising:
"And just finally before we let you go, we haven't had a chance to talk about some of the..." Scotto began before Grimm cut him off.
"I'm not speaking to you off-topic, this is only about the president," said Grimm, before walking off camera.
"So Congressman Michael Grimm does not want to talk about some of the allegations concerning his campaign finances," Scotto said before tossing back to the station. But as the camera continued to roll, Grimm walked back up to Scotto and began speaking to him in a low voice.
"What?" Scotto responded. "I just wanted to ask you..."
Grimm: "Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I'll throw you off this f-----g balcony."............

Because NY1 is only supposed to give you a platform to bash the President. You are doing THEM a favor by allowing them to put your face and your opnions on their news shows.
Professionalism, eh?
Let me quote what my employee handbook says
"Threats of violence, threatening behavior, or acts of violence against employees or other individuals on City premises or places where City work related activities are occuring, are prohibited. The City of redacted has a zero tolerance policy for such conduct. It will not be tolerated.
Any person who makes threats of violence, displays threatening behavior, or engages in violent acts on City property will be removed from the area as soon as safety permits, and shall remain prohibited from entering City premises until an investigation of the conduct in question haas been completed. Should the investigation establish a violation of this policy, the City will take appropriate action, up to and including termination of any business relationship, suspension or termination of employment. Action may also involve criminal prosecution."
We, the people, expect a certain level of professionalism and respect from our so-called public servants.
You, sir, can show some of that by submitting your letter of resignation.

I don't get why thuglicans can use thug behavior and get away with it. this thug has a very bad temper. What is wrong with this thug telling a reporter he would throw him off a balcony. It seems that thug behavior is the republican party style. I know a thug when I se it. He's a thug. Thug. thug. thug. thug. thug. thug. thug. thug.thug.thug.thug.thgu.thug.thug.thug.
