I just realized that republicans and muslim terrorists have the same mindset.

Muslim terrorists:
- They have the best religion on Earth. The only, the one, the true religion.
- But their countries and societies are poor and oppressed.
- They are doing everything right! How could this be?
- There is some conspiracy out there, making their lives miserable. And they have to fight back.

Republicans:
- They have the best political ideas in the world.
- But studies say otherwise.
- But those are conservative ideas! It's impossible for them to be wrong! Why would the studies say otherwise?
- The conservative ideas aren't bad: The truth is hidden by a conspiracy!
Who cares about studies, those economists are lying liberals anyway!
And those climate-scientists make big money by putting temperature-diagrams together!
And women want the option of abortion so they can have all the abortions they want!
And not obeying what we call biblical teachings means consorting with the devil!
And the president doesn't look like the other presidents, he looks fake and foreign!
Let's secede and/or overthrow the US-government, execute the traitors and install a theocratic regime.

Me, me, me! I'm important! I'm the victim! It's all a conspiracy! All about me!

they see proclamations of victimhood as achieving certain advantages for others, so they proclaim victimhood status for themselves.

never mind the facts.
