OTOH, I kept thinking that if this is the best they've got, that's very good news for us.

... I simply offer a prayer ...

So it's just completely unfair to say Republicans have no specific plan for ending unemployment, fending off global warming, ending the war in Afghanistan, and so on

As Cathy McMorris Rodgers pointed out, they have a vision of our future, even more hopeful than that of the President, a vision of rebuilding the American Dream! of a workforce that can take on the world! of dreaming big for everyone! of the boundless potential that lies ahead!

And they actually have a road map to get us to that glorious future, in which we will be to kiss our kids goodnight, in which we will figure out how to pay our bills, and in which we will be getting ready for tomorrow's doctor's visit: Cathy McMorris Rodgers is praying for us!

I guess her praying for us is much better than actually coming with "DETAILS" of their plans! Seems like they "always" have a plan, but "never" have any details about the "plan"!

It's just pure BS, they have never really had any "plan" except to do everything in their power to keep the country from moving ahead.

The President said many things tonight.

"So we hope the President will join us in a year of real action -- by empowering people -- not making their lives harder with unprecedented spending, higher taxes, and fewer jobs."

She voted for the budget bill that will create "unprecedented spending and higher taxes". The President only signs these bills into law. It's the House and Senate that actually create them. As for fewer jobs, there were 1.363 million more people employed in December compared to a year earlier.
