It was something I grew up doing but don't ever hear anyone doing it any more...It is grabbing hold of the rear bumper of a car and let then pull you along while sliding in the snow with just your shoes. Every kid in alaska knows the term I am fairly certain..

(12,145 posts)western Nebraska, and since we had no hills to sled down, we hooky-bobbed by hooking our hands onto car bumpers and using the cars as bobsleds!
