Does Anyone Think That The Unusual Weather Patterns The South Is Experiencing This Season Can....

turn Red states Blue?

Actually we should expand that this unusual weather is basically affecting the whole country - with snow and ice storms in the South; Polar Vortex in the Midwest and East; mild weather in Alaska and drought in the West. Couple this with the hurricanes like Katrina and storms like Sandy of the recent past; the melting glaciers and islands disappearing in the sea - clearly something is happening on a global basis with all these changing weather patterns.

But lets just focus on the South in the US where many of the people are staunch listeners to Rush and Fox and vote for the Repug Party.

I know Rush and Fox News call it 'global warming' and not what I feel is the more appropriate term 'global climate change' and they tell the folks down there that things aren't warming with all this cold weather and the snow and they continue to pull the wool over their eyes.

I'm glad the President said what he said last night about this in the SOTU speech.

Does anyone think that the weather being experienced first hand now will make them think twice about the Party that they are loyal to that denies that there is any there there? Will they think twice about what they are hearing from Rush and his ilk and Fox News?

Could we now get the attention to these people that they are being conned and lied to and that they shouldn't trust their radio and TV hosts? Could these unusual weather patterns turn Red state Blue?

it's becoming more and more evident that something is going on in this world. Back in 2001 when the Rush's and Fox New's of the world pooh poohed global warming - it's getting harder and harder to believe them because of all these unusual weather patterns people all around the U.S. are experiencing.

I guess you don't think that this can have an effect on voting. I'm just thinking out loud here and throwing it out there to get other DU
'ers feelings on this.

Thank you for your response.
