(15,596 posts)In 2000, a New York City police officer filed a lawsuit against Grimm over an incident a year earlier at a nightclub in Queens. Gordon Williams, who was moonlighting as a club bouncer, said Grimm had gotten into a fight, then returned at 2:30 a.m. carrying a gun and "carrying on like a madman."
"He's screaming, 'I'm gonna ... kill him,'" Williams told writer Evan Ratliff for a 2011 New Yorker article. "So I said to him, 'Who are you?' He put the gun back in his waist and said, 'I'm a ... F.B.I. agent, ain't nobody gonna threaten me.'"

(9,350 posts)No, it was not the gun. Someone in another post stated the gun incident was at a New York Club. In addition, I believe guns are not allowed inside the Capitol. From the time I first learned about this story I have felt Rep. Grimm was a bully who only confronted the reporter because he looked young and geeky. I thought Grimm would never have done such a thing to either Brian Williams (NBC Nightly News), or Bill O' Rielly (6ft. 5in.)
Supposedly, a few years ago Grimm was at a club and got into an altercation with someone. He left the club and then came back with a gun, screaming that he was going to kill the other guy. I do not think Grimm really wanted to kill the other guy. He seems to be one of those guy's people used to joke about. The guys who claimed they wanted to fight someone, but clutched their friend(s) saying hold me back, hold me back, I'll kick his butt, hold me back.

(65,616 posts)Sounds like the SS might want to interview him to see as to why the firearm movement during the SOTU?
but context confusing. A-Schwarzenegger reply, #8, may shed some light,

Even with the disclaimer it still is inappropriate. The worst kind of rumor mongering is to make an outrageous statement as fact and then add a "no it's not" disclaimer later - puts the "fact" out there and generates lots of discussion - some people are still going to believe the rumor.
