I am WITH Georg. Governor Deal: "No interview, CNN, after the way you treated the Mayor of Atlanta"

Absolutely the media is going to get its feelings all hurt and become pouty, but the total screeching disrespect and idiocy shown by the CNN Anchorperson to the Mayor yesterday deserved exactly that response.

CNN, YOU apologize first, it seems to be all the craze lately now anyway.

I cannot stand Cuomo. I really wish they would send him to some far off land to report on the life of some obscure insect and he doesn't return.

They have grown increasingly conservative over the past few years to the point where I sometimes do a double-take to see if I am actually watching Fox.

EVERY news organization ought to be holding these politician's and bureaucrat's feet to a roaring fucking bonfire for the way they botched handling the snowstorm.

I live and work here, and know many people that were affected by this storm.

I'm not sure anyone could have done anything.

The correct answer is closing government and schools for the whole day. Of course, why would he have thought to do that if we were only expected to get 1-2 inches of snow.

Atlanta is an exceptional place. Instead of USA, it is Atlanta all the way.

No reason why he didn't close the schools. He also could have requested all non-essential workers stay home and off the roads. Did he ever request that the public stay home unless necessary to be out and about?

That works if it's a weekend and most people aren't working. On a weekday, not so much.

Rarely do private employers close down for anything but the most severe inclement weather. Since the weather wasn't bad prior to the morning rush-hour I can't imagine most business would have chosen not to open that day regardless of what the city or state gov't may have had to say.

I am in Houston and we DID shut down. Bad weather ended up missing us, and some people are griping about the shutdown.

Didn't a similar winter storm scenario play out in that area a few years ago? I find myself wondering about learning curves since the recurrence of such an event was possible.

And, this situation has happened numerous times since at least the 1970s. But, commuters keep getting trapped.
