Reporter that Grimm (R-NY) Threatened is Nephew of Gambino Boss

Rep. Michael Grimm didn’t know whom he was dealing with on Tuesday when he threatened to throw NY1 reporter Michael Scotto off the US Capitol balcony and “break you in half. Like a boy.”

The journalist is related to Anthony Scotto, former head of the Brooklyn longshoremen’s union and a former boss in the Gambino crime family.

“Michael is a tough reporter, and in true Scotto fashion, he’s not easily intimidated!” “Good Day New York” host Rosanna Scotto, Michael’s cousin and Anthony’s daughter, told me.

“Grimm’s outlook may be grim,” laughed one Brooklynite. “Is he nuts, or what?”

you have better be prepared for the consequences of its message, or you may find yourself under the bus.

Which is more like Canada or Ohio than 'Manhattan' -

The first time I bought gas the attendant dropped more F-Bombs and in such a friendly and polite way than I had heard in my previous 32 years altogether.

We've got some characters down here for sure!

Grimm entered the FBI as a professional support employee in 1991. In 1995, he entered the FBI Academy in Quantico Station, Virginia. He graduated as a special agent and was certified to become an undercover agent. He became a U.S. Marshal and uniformed FBI policeman. He began as an FBI clerk and transitioned into undercover agent work, eventually working in the FBI Gambino Squad and was responsible for learning about the inside activities of Peter Gotti, John Gotti's brother.[3] Grimm worked for the FBI as an agent for 9 years.

Anthony M. Scotto (pronounced SKOH-toh&quot (born May 10, 1934) is a New York mobster and labor union racketeer in the Gambino crime family who ruled the Brooklyn waterfront. Scotto achieved a high level of influence with several New York mayors and a governor before he went to prison.

Political connections

Scotto became one of the most powerful mafiosos in New York due to his powerful political connections. Scotto even became friends with the mob's most feared enemy, U.S. Attorney General Robert Kennedy. In 1972, Scotto used his influence to get his lawyer, Bertram Perkel, appointed as a special counselor to Police Commissioner Patrick V. Murphy. Also in 1972, Scotto was named as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention, but stepped down in protest over the actions of the Convention Credentials Committee. Scotto at one point claimed to have raised millions of dollars for Democratic candidate Hugh Carey's 1974 gubernatorial campaign in New York. Scotto had numerous dealings with Carey over political appointments and labor issues. In 1976, both Scotto and his wife Marion were selected as delegates to the Democratic National Convention.

When Democrat Mario Cuomo ran for mayor of New York in 1977, Scotto donated $50,000 to his campaign. President Jimmy Carter had named Scotto as a possible candidate for the position of U.S. Secretary of Labor. At the same time, Gambino planned to make Scotto president of the entire ILA in the United States; however, this ambition was derailed by criminal charges.
