Republicans admit to obstruction for last 5 years.

After 5 years of blocking everything this President and the Democrats proposed to get us out of the worst recession in our lifetimes, the Republicans now admit that they can no longer just obstruct but must offer "alternatives". Say what!

It must be an election year? After refusing to vote for the stimulus needed to help our government recover, after refusing to vote for extension of unemployment benefits for long-term unemployed, after shutting down our government, they now say that they are ready to offer "alternatives" to Obama and the Democrats.

If you are an American and you are not cynical after these comments from John Boehner and the Republican establishment, then perhaps you need to check your pulse? This is one of the most cruel and manipulative statements I have ever heard in my lifetime. You would think they might be embarrassed with such comments?

But there is no shame in the Republican Party.

The people in power suggested common sense, rational, workable solutions. Alternatives are for people who want to seem to be thinking about things but don't have the guts to agree that the original proposals were good.

beck, Levin and Hannity are riding to the (Democratic Party's) rescue, with their calls to oust Boehner and McConnell.

I heard beck announce (and get his side-kicks to "Yup" that if Bevin loses in the primary, he's not going to go out to vote during the general election ... "What's the use?" (as if a texas resident could vote in the Kentucky election).

I hope he gets Levin and Hannity to parrot the same "if the tea-party loon doesn't win the primary, we should stay home for the General election" line for 27 or 28 races. We could stand having their audiences staying home in 2014!

The tea baggers have em by the balls. Squeezing their nuts in a vise every chance they get they tighten the screws and the old timey mainstream guys are running scarred. After 30 years of playing chicken with the lunatic fringe, the bigots and the religious right they find themselves surrounded by assholes. When they throw a party, only assholes show up because normal people are repulsed by the clientele. They kept inviting these swine. When a few showed up they could be ignored. Cant ignore them anymore.
So now, they want to be friends again. Friends with normal people. They have decided that they want things to be the way they used to be. Back in the good old days. When they fought all day on the hill and had supper together, got drunk screwed some whores and did it again the next day. Those were the days. It was all white guys and whores.
But then came the new paradigm. Cable TV gave the religious right a stranglehold on the rural folk and fox news was invented to stream bullshit 24/7. The repubs embraced the propaganda and the hate flowed like water. 85 white men cashed in and horded the entire wealth of the world.
The repugs woke up on Wednesday morning with no leaders. No ideas, no plan. Grover Norquist is no where to found. The money is gone. Mitt is an empty suit and the great white hope is a dumpster fire.
Look at Paul Ryan , Eric Cantor they look like deer in the headlight.

...it is all bullshit intended to persuade weak-minded voters to follow them over the cliff just once more. They will fix immigration, they will fix Obamacare, they will fix the problem with income inequality. Sure they will !

They are not concerned about the American people. They are only concerned about the next election.

I would agree with you that their balls are in pain...

That wages haven't already risen says something very bad about our friends who manage corporations.

Lifting up ordinary Americans by raising wages is the most important thing at this time in addition to expanding Social Security and Medicare and improving still more our health care system. Education will follow if you give Americans a raise.
