(40,190 posts)I had the same thought. Christie likes to communicate by text because he thought it was less likely to produce a permanent paper trail. I would put money on it that Wildstein has copies of them all in a nice thick folder.
malaise
(268,693 posts)because they are obsessively meticulous.
Christie should have know that the one guy he should not have humiliated publicly was Wildstein.
And then he and his goons refused to pay for WIldstein's lawyer.
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I can see the movie script.

(2,419 posts)that Giuliani's "guy" who is representing the governor's office gave Rudy the heads up. Told him to back off in his support. (and perhaps violated attorney-client privilege)

(32,606 posts)Tweety did an entire segment on Rudy's change of talking points yesterday and speculated at length on why Rudy had switched up. He had a bunch of dumb theories but never once mentioned that three of Rudy's former staffers now work for Christie. I was yelling at the tv - "Rudy got a heads-up from his former staffers you idiot".
When I can connect the dots better than Tweety it is time for him to hang up his ego and go out to the Vineyard for good.

(116,464 posts)Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) appeared on CNN Friday and argued that the latest revelations in the George Washington Bridge lane closures are not all bad for Gov. Chris Christie (R).
<...>
In response to the release of the Wildstein letter, the Christie administration issued a statement saying that the letter merely "confirms what the Governor has said all along - he had absolutely no prior knowledge of the lane closures before they happened and whatever Mr. Wildstein's motivations were for closing them to begin with."
Asked by CNN host Wolf Blitzer whether the competing documents constituted a "bombshell," Giuliani argued that there was too much ambiguity to say.
"Well, I'm not sure it's a bombshell, Wolf," Giuliani said. "It's a statement that creates a lot of ambiguity, some good for the governor, some that create questions. The part that's good is it's clear the governor didn't know about it beforehand, so he didn't plan it, right? The question is when did he find out about it? The letter is very ambiguous as to when he found out about it. The governor clearly found out about it from the newspapers, so he did know about it at some point. And Mr. Wildstein is very much wanting to get immunity from the government. And I suspect if Mr. Wildstein had a smoking gun, something you could describe really honestly as a bombshell, the government would have given him immunity. So he is negotiating for immunity. Who knows, he may even ratchet up his allegations in order to try to get immunity. So I think at this point it would be very, very hard to interpret all of these things and come to some kind of conclusion that the governor isn't being forthright or that this really contradicts him."

(2,419 posts)and look at what was here when I turned on my computer! I had a feeling something good was going to come out today. Responses to the subpoenas are due Monday. If they are turning over the daily briefing books and the activity logs from the Governor's office, everything Wildstein said will be in there. He just made sure he cooperated before they got the stuff on their own. Line from one of my favorite movies Almost Famous...It's all happening!

batterie(baht-tree') This means to 'beat' the legs and eat them.
battu(bah-tew') This describes certain jumps and steps, for example, jumping and landing from two feet which you place in mouth, or a specific movement that is usually performed at the 'barre' - to stand on one leg, or have no leg to stand on the other leg will then beat against it.
bourrée(boo-ray') This is a move that is performed on your half-toe or half assed bleeting about ones innocence, whereby the first leg pulls the other leg in tightly (we know our legs are being pulled) - in very small and quick steps.
