Shout out to Rachel Maddow who is so savvy and persistent.

Her pursuit of the Christie story from early on was remarkable and her dedication to uncovering the truth has been admirable. A nod to Kornacki for adding more texture. For alk of his ties to NJ politics, it was Rachel who led the way in this investigation.

Plus, there's both an audio (about 10Mb) and video version (bigger). I don't have bandwidth for the video version but the audio version is just fine.

Just point your podcast aggregator at Rachel Maddow and you'll find both. AFAIK she's the only MSNBC host who has a downloadable podcast, and certainly the only one who has both video and audio.

I never miss it. It's reliably available about 11:00 PM Eastern time every night she's on.

For some it used to be "Oprah's On!" And everything else would stop for an hour. Around our house, it's "Rachel's On!" Or - "I'll get back to you in an hour - I'm watching Rachel Maddow." It's true "Must See TV"! It's like a nightly master class in broadcast journalism.

For now I'm watching Rev Al have a Christie Super Bawl - with Kornacki.

...for this story. Most of the revelations that find their way on the nightly television shows were dug out by Boburg and a couple of others at the Bergen Record (I don't read the WSJ so didn't realize they were even covering it in depth)

and has done a masterful job. He's important because he works at WSJ - it has kept this from the charges of "it's a liberal conspiracy" nonsense. Their opinion pages still rages blood red but their actual reporters are pretty good and Mann has been all over this story and has broken some news on his own. It's been on several front page stories there. I just look for the google cache of his stories to avoid giving the WSJ the clicks.

Sometimes, like on crime forums, you will find people who will do a lot of free research to solve the crime. Also, you will find people with points of view that offer possibilities other than what they are thinking. I actually know detectives who check forums out for just that purpose.

But speaking of Wolff and Samson, their offices are in my town and not far from me. As I was driving home Friday night, there were police cars with flashing lights outside.

Only to supervise traffic, though.

I have my hopes that someday it will be for someone else.
