...how many of our Congressmen and Senators have their money in foreign accounts?
Or is it not important?
After all, everybody knew that Mitt Romney had millions stashed in foreign accounts so he would not have to pay taxes, like everyone else, to the United States of America, when he ran for President.
And what would happen to the congressperson or Senator that tried to pass such a law? That would make the American people knowledgeable about which of their representatives is invested in foreign countries? Would they be shut out of every committee assignment by the leadership in both Parties?
And would you think it might be a bi-partisan effort to hide this information from the people? Where is the press when you need them?
Just like the bill they passed a couple of days ago, that went to Committee, and when it came out, they had made secret the names of all Congressmen, Senators, and Family members that might be receiving chunks of largess from the US Government in the form of farm subsidies?
This should be of concern to all of us. I wish there was legislation to make it illegal, as a member of Congress, to hide money off shore, but I will not hold my breath.
