Appellate courts make "political" decisions all the time

As I understand it the decision in the Amanda Knox case has to be reviewed by an appellate court so there is still a possibility the guilty verdict can be overturned. Hopefully this is the case. If it isn't and they force our government's hand I hope we do not extradite her. There is ample reasonable doubt as is evident by the not guilty verdict that just preceded the current one.

The world didn't end when the Swiss government didn't extradite Roman Polanski. I didn't see American troops in Bern.
