Gov. Scott sets dates for District 19 special election

Governor Rick Scott has scheduled the special election to fill former Congressman Trey Radel's seat.

Taxpayers are footing the over $1 million dollar bill to replace him - less than 10 months after they sent him to Washington, D.C.

Governor Scott handed down his executive order Friday afternoon. The move allows the supervisors of elections in Lee and Collier Counties to start what they describe as a logistical nightmare.

The special election primary is slated for Tuesday, April 22nd. That is going to be the most watched vote since Republicans will choose their candidate.

1.5 million dollars for a special election for June when we have a Election in November.

My tax dollars hard at work.
