Chris Christie to speak at CPAC a year after snub

I know, another Christie thread, but this one is from the bizzaro world. Last year, Christie didn't have "an all-star year" according to CPAC, but this year, he's just doing great! I'm speechless. This is what they consider a good year?

“We are very excited to announce that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will speak at CPAC 2014," American Conservative Union Chairman Al Cardenas told Yahoo News. "This will be the year that conservatives begin pulling the nation back from the brink of Barack Obama's disaster with a movement that inspires, unites, and discovers new solutions to our current challenges.”

Last year Christie was reportedly snubbed for not "having an all-star year." Among his sins were trashing Republican members of Congress who were holding up Sandy recovery aid and embracing President Obama in the wake of the storm.

Have at 'em CPAC. I'm sure he'll deliver a rousing speech on how to screw with people!

Wow, new solutions to our current challenges. Let's see, there's the Hoboken solution, the George Washington Bridge solution, there's the I like to yell at teachers solution and the ever popular "do what I say and nobody gets hurt" method of governing. Yea, he's really the guy to lead them into the future with all of his innovative policies! Perfect for the modern conservative movement.

Isn't the timing strange? It makes it seem like all of this was some kind of perverted audition for right wing support.

Conservatives who had rejected Christie due to his "bipartisanship" are now taking a second look. Controlling Democrats by bossing, extortion and arm twisting is bipartisanship that Conservatives can live with, his hug of Obama notwithstanding.

of hundreds of thousands of citizens he swore an oath to serve. And as an extra added dose of despicability he did it on 9/11 anniversary. Congrats!

Now that we know how depraved and corrupt you are, we are convinced you are one of us! In fact you're so evil, you have earned a prized speaking spot. Please make sure to explain your methods in detail.

Congratulations son, you're at the top of the Delta pledge class.

Ladies and gentlemen (actually mostly white gentlemen) our next speaker has had an "all-star year"! You've read about his accomplishments, seen him on T.V. but now, in the flesh, the man who created a four day traffic jam in the city of one of his enemies, yelled at and humiliated a teacher while his adoring wife looked on, ........

He won't make it with all the scandals around him otherwise. But if he can convince the crazies that he is one of them, he has a chance. I expect Chrispie to start in on the birther stuff and BENGHAZI!!!!! soon.
