Out of 25 U.S. Presidents, you are the most like Thomas Jefferson.

Compared to the general population, you are:

Low on Extroversion, indicating that you are an introvert who prefers calm environments to large social gatherings.
High on Openness, indicating that you are very impatient with the way things are and always on the look for the new, the untested, and the untried.
Average on Agreeableness, indicating that you alternate between being tenderhearted in some situations and tough-minded in others.
Below average on Conscientiousness, indicating that you are flexible with regards to goals and deadlines and that you improvise and constantly update the course as you pursue your goals.
Above average on Neuroticism, indicating that you are quick to respond to changes in your environment and that you react strongly to both good and bad news.

But I have some serious disagreement with the secondary assessments:

According to a study done by Jeffery J. Mondak, Ph.D., your scores indicate that you are:

Not likely to discriminate on the basis of race or sexual orientation.
More likely to be pro-choice rather than pro-life.
Likely to feel trapped by the status quo.
Likely to enjoy complex and abstract discussions.
Likely to be more knowledgeable on academic topics.
More likely to favor military intervention as a means of solving foreign policy problems.
Less likely to think that international cooperation will solve foreign policy problems.
More likely to take responsibility and to take an active interest in your community.
More likely to be patriotic and proud of your country.
More likely to enjoy romantic fiction than the rest of the population.
Less likely to have a tolerant attitude towards smoking.
More likely to favor harsh criminal punishments over milder ones.
Less likely to watch TV and read the news, preferring instead to follow your own interests.
Less likely to mobilize your friends in your own interests, preferring instead to immerse yourself in your interests in solitude.
Someone who seems impassive to others, while being in fact quite sure of your own views.
Less likely to frequently change jobs and partners.
Less likely to end up in jail or to get in trouble with the law.
More likely to generally agree with your immediate friends and family.
More likely to simply avoid people who are hostile to you, or with whom you are in disagreement.
More likely to oppose capital punishment.
More likely to take a favorable view of government welfare programs.

These points in particular, as in pretty far off:

More likely to favor military intervention as a means of solving foreign policy problems.
Less likely to think that international cooperation will solve foreign policy problems.
More likely to be patriotic and proud of your country.
More likely to enjoy romantic fiction than the rest of the population.
More likely to generally agree with your immediate friends and family.

But hey, it's a generalized assessment. I have participated in the Meyers/Briggs assessment at the beginning of my college career and at the end of it, one letter changed completely, the rest were pretty much the same. And most who saw the results were quite surprised at them.

It's an interesting little test, thanks for posting.

Likely to be more knowledgeable on academic topics.
Less likely to favor military intervention as a means of solving foreign policy problems.
More likely to think that international cooperation will solve foreign policy problems.

Less likely to take an active interest in your community, preferring instead to go your own way.
More likely to be cosmopolitan in tastes and less likely to be patriotic and proud of your country.

Less likely to enjoy romantic fiction than the rest of the population.
Less likely to have a tolerant attitude towards smoking.

More likely to have insurance or to belong to a labor union.

4. Telecom '96
Even Bob Dole recognized the Telecommunications Act of 1996 for what it was - a massive load of corporate welfare. Of course, he found it easier to recognize wealthfare for once, because of the provisions that benefitted a more Democratic constituency: Hollywood. Over $70 billion worth of broadcast spectrum was handed over free of charge from the taxpayers of America to the broadcast industry. And by removing restrictions on how many media outlets one company can own, Telecom '96 set off a feeding frenzy of mergers and acquisitions in the media market that has yet to abate. Anybody out there think the increased concentration of the media will be helpful to democracy? You can thank Bill Clinton for his signature, which made it all possible.

for "neuroticism" --Obama is supposedly very low on that scale, defined as feeling & reacting to stress under pressure--which is why he can be president. I scored slightly above average on that, which I think is true. Not always good under pressure, don't thrive in it, but manage it. (could never work in the ER or be a spy) I like broccoli and arugula and ALL bitter veggies like endive and radicchio very much

Likely to enjoy complex and abstract discussions.
Likely to be more knowledgeable on academic topics.
Less likely to frequently change jobs and partners. I'd like to think so to these three.

Less likely to end up in jail or to get in trouble with the law. Well, I've never been arrested, so...

More likely to simply avoid people who are hostile to you, or with whom you are in disagreement. Why hang-out with someone if all you're going to do is fight? I'd rather actually be friends with my friends.

More likely to oppose capital punishment. Yes.

More likely to take a favorable view of government welfare programs. Yeah, I do use them.
