They played a great game in all phases and deserve full credit. Even if Denver played a great game, I am not sure they could have beaten them.
Big ups to Byron Maxwell! Clemson!

(17,111 posts)Richard Sherman didn't deserve it and neither does Peyton. He played very poorly and if anyone knows it, it's Peyton.
Some people (not accusing you of over-the-top) have gone off the rails about him. Their vitriol is disturbing. Criticize his play in the SB and other playoff games, but leave the personal out of it.
One of the worst SB memes was Peyton, the great white hope, versus Richard Sherman, the Af-Am answer. I know some do feel like that. It does a great disservice to both. I seriously doubt that Manning had one thought about leading some 'white movement.' I also doubt that Sherman viewed him that way.

(17,111 posts)However, if we are going to get into political leaning as a reason to root or not root for a team it's going to be very messy. There are others on the Broncos who have very different views than he does.
In addition, while you won't hear much about it, Manning supports his communities and gives a lot to helping others. I don't like his politics, but I'll bet if truth be known, there are some Seattle players with regressive views.
He's retired but look at Steve Largent.

I especially dislike Manning because A) He beat the Bears in his one and only SB won and B) Papa John is a complete and total douchebag, and as the saying goes when you lay with dogs you get fleas...
He may be a super guy, help old ladies cross the street and is kind to animals, but he is in bed with an asshole that worked actively against the ACA because it would cost HIM money, but who can afford to give away 2 million free pizzas in an advertising gimmick...

(12,081 posts)Their offense had been struggling for a few games, but their performance yesterday mirrored their performance in the preseason and yes they were unbeatable in the preseason. I agree with you. Even if Denver had been playing well yesterday I don't think they could have beaten Seattle.

(21,020 posts)were awesome. Scary awesome.
In a way, I'm sort of glad my Patriots didn't make it to the Superbowl. I really would have been ashamed to have seen them dismantled so thoroughly by a second year QB on one of the largest sports stages in America.
So Peyton has his damned stats. Fifty-five or whatever TD passes in a season. Bet he'd trade each one of them in for that ring...
Can't take away what he's done over the years. He's still a good QB. But he's not the greatest ever.

(17,111 posts)However, people seem to forget he has won a Super Bowl. That's no small achievement. However, he would trade a lot of things for another just to catch Eli for one thing.
He is a great QB. Suddenly delegating him to 2nd class status is wrong. He is not the best IMO.

(1,423 posts)I think the Pats would have given us a tough game. It looked to me like the whole offensive line of Denver was on tilt.
This Seahawk team will be considered one of the greatest of all time. I'm getting giggly and goofy at the thought of that, because the Pacific Northwest hasn't even had a championship winner since '79.

(17,111 posts)The Braves are moving out of Atlanta to Cobb County. That's tied to political backroom dealings and promises from Cobb County.
The Tea Party in Cobb County is fighting this every inch of the way. They don't want taxpayer money used. I'll give them credit for that one thing.
If you want the worst example of an owner mistreating the fans. Try Jeff Louria of the Marlins. He is vile.

(17,111 posts)The Buffalo Bills would be ahead of them. The Seahawks are definitely a good choice,, but they have not experienced nearly the frustration others have.
Between the two, that's fair.
