America the Beautiful shown in such great diversity is GOOD THING.
Many have issues with Coke and many other corporations.
Yes, at the end of the day, Coke made a Coke ad, but showing diversity in such a way was a positive, unifying thing (except to the backward conservative base).
It's really disconcerting for people not get the positive visuals for people to see this. The right wing reaction bares this out.
Don't let the messenger ruin this. Don't get sidetracked by feelings for Coke one way or another.
I don't drink anything with HFCS, so what Coke sells means nothing to me and I have a big problem with that and other things with Coke, but this enraged wing nuts and for that, it's a good thing. If they push their outrage, it would be HUGE moment for America to see how out of touch conservatives are.

(3,826 posts)the ad being great (it's decent, well done and a nice sentiment) it's about the reaction from the right.

(53,031 posts)We are not "better" than the Freepers. They are wrong on key issues of our time. They are saddled with horrible bigotry. That is not the same as being intrinsically better.
