Interesting case on Law & Order SVU:

To make a long story short, a kid fell through the proverbial cracks at ACS and ended up dead partly because a ridiculously overworked, stressed-out caseworker made an error. In fact, the whole system is a mess. What they didn't come out and say -- but what was obvious -- is why that is. It's because the system is grossly underfunded and understaffed. Thanks, Repugs!
