'Birther' lawyer Philip Berg suspended, quits Supreme Court practice

Philip Berg blames his fervor for the theory that President Barack Obama was born in Kenya for the failure of his law practice.

Now the man who repeatedly sued to remove Obama from the presidential ballot is suspended from practicing law in Pennsylvania and this month resigned from practicing law before the U.S. Supreme Court to avoid being disbarred.

"I screwed up, I admitted to it," said Berg, of Lafayette Hill, Montgomery County, in a telephone interview Thursday. "I devoted so much time to it, I lost clients because I didn't pay attention to them."

Chief among his neglected clients was Diana McCracken, the wife of a Lancaster motorcycle gang member whose knifing of a rival gang member in 2004 brought police to McCracken's home.

She hired Berg to sue the Lancaster Police Department and several officers in federal court for unlawfully searching her home and wrongfully imprisoning her while they waited for a warrant, according to a report from the state board in charge of attorney discipline.

ineptness.

After reading the article it is reasonable to believe that Berg is a public menace and rightfully deserves to be disbarred. It's sad that Berg is so delusional that he doesn't recognize that Obama isn't the problem, he is.
