the use of Drone attacks...However, I have no idea why he is signing this freaking Farm Bill which will substantially cut food stamps to the poor and helpless .
I know hes a compassionate good man, however why the hell is he doing this?
Dont give me that shit about him showing his Wall Street colors...

(9,457 posts)any cuts in the food stamp program, I don't favor certain states using a method of calculating income that other states don't use. That is why Elizabeth Warren supported it. Also, the claim is that it will cut $8 Billion, but a few articles i've seen said "up to" $8 Billion. One article I read said that if the participants could prove their heating bills it wouldn't affect them. The articles have been very vague and i'm wondering why that is. (not just far right media) I even thought that the Democrats may have agreed to let the GOP crow about the cuts in exchange for not really making any. I still haven't determined if the cuts are absolute, or only if a recipient couldn't prove their actual heating costs.
Since Obama has increased Food Stamps in the past, it's unlikely he's just rolling over on this one. After all, it wouldn't pass without the Democrats voting it for it in the first place. Also, the "cuts" are based on heating bills in 16 states and doesn't take effect for new applicants until March and existing participants until July or 2015. (Don't know why the two separate dates) so it doesn't seem like the effects will be felt anytime soon. Hopefully it will changed before it actually takes effect. I'm wondering if the Dems think they can get a supplemental food stamps bill passed before these cuts take place.

He supports the TPP and TTIP- has made them central to his foreign policy
His administration has been notoriously weak when it comes to holding corporate types and banksters accountable
He has proposed the chained CPI
and there's much more.
