3. "Extracting the remaining wealth" is the object, and making the country fall

apart is the most efficient way to throw people off their land and out of their houses (through taxes, job destruction, etc.) so those assets can be scooped up by the rapacious 1%. They are intent on remaking this country into their own set of fiefdoms, and they're well on their way to accomplishing that.

14. I don't agree with this

GOP is an enabling force and cheerleader for the Corporations and the rich.
It is the Corporations and the rich that want the country to degrade (not be destroyed) so they can buy it on the cheap and then rent it back for a profit.

It's about ownership and debt. They own, we owe.
Debt has replaced Religion and Royalty as the mechanism of choice by which a small group can control a large one.
