Soaring Propane Prices Being Investigated As Country Goes Into Deep Freeze

I use propane and the price nearly doubled last week! The supplier was very apologetic telling me there was a shortage.
So I did a google search and discovered it had gone up EVERYWHERE in the country.
Very suspicious. Are we being gouged? Apparently there is a government probe about the matter. Be sure to complain to your local
representatives and make some noise about this!!!


BTW - I never read FOX NEWS but this is the headline that came up when I googled the story. Are Republicans the only ones asking this question?

'Something is not right': Lawmakers press for probe of soaring propane prices

As more than half the nation has spent weeks in a deep freeze, the price of propane -- used for everything from heating homes to powering farms -- has skyrocketed, leading Washington lawmakers to question whether producers are manipulating the market.

The impact of record prices is particularly pronounced in rural states, where propane is more commonly used. In Colorado, residents saw prices nearly tripling in the past two weeks as freezing weather in the Midwest boosted demand on an already tight supply in the state. Since Jan. 16, prices have jumped to as much as $6 a gallon from $2.30.
