National Prayer Breakfast: Inspiring Global Peace or Hate?

Or how about countries like the United States where religion is used to deny employment, housing, and public accommodation protections? Previously, Obama told a National Prayer Breakfast audience “We may disagree about gay marriage, but surely we can agree that it is unconscionable to target gays and lesbians for who they are — whether it’s here in the United States or … more extremely in odious laws that are being proposed most recently in Uganda.”

1. He should have gone to a prayer breakfast organized by people not associated with the

anti lgbt laws in Uganda.

2. A couple of years ago he was going to attend one of the 'payer breakfasts' with the author of

the Uganda Anti Gay bill, who had been invited. It took concerted effort on the part of sane gay people to convince the administration this was not going to be the same as the Rick Warren love fests, that the President was going to stand with a man seeking pogroms. First WH person I talked to doubted me to my face 'Death penalty? I highly doubt that'.

3. People of religion: Pick a side, Love or Hate.

Unity or Division.
