What could America anticipate with Republicans in charge of all three branches of government?

God forbid, but it is something to ponder.

Since they control the Supreme Court already, what could we expect if they controlled the White House and both the House and Senate?

First of all, we could anticipate that taxes for the top 1% would be cut even more.

Also, we could expect changes in areas such as labor and financial oversight, ie, NLRB and the CFPB.

And we could expert them to do away with what little regulation was left in our economy.

Medicare and Social Security would be under all-out assault.

They would demand more money for the Defense Department and we would likely be in another conflict or war in the Middle East.

There would be little compassion for those without jobs or in need of food and shelter. Cuts would be made across the board in the social safety net.

Americans cannot understand the course of history. At least since Reagan, there has been an effort by the Republicans to transfer wealth to the very top and to destroy government in all its forms at every opportunity. When Democrats are able to get our country back on course, such as Clinton with the surplus and balanced budget, along comes a moron to tear it down. We won't get many more chances to save this country from these despicable dregs of the human race.

on edit, let me add: They would impeach President Barack Obama.

what's the other one? Seriously, that is exactly what the Republican corporate sponsors want. No EPA oversight, drilling on park lands, reduction in corporate taxes. all the best parts of ACA will be cut, most safety net programs will go away or be too difficult to qualify for. No more support for the UN. It gets worse from there so I'll stop. Let's just say labor unions will go the way of the eight track.

Those who mockingly say the Democratic party is a corporate party and they aren't voting if more liberal candidates can't be found, have never really been honest with themselves about the situation. They haven't met the "real' corporate party yet.

It should be standard operating procedure:

1. Vote for a real Democrat or your conscious, Not Republican.

2. Research your locals so a DINO or Third way does not get in.

3. If either one get's in see step 1.

Quick question: if they controlled the White House, wouldn't that suggest Barack Obama wouldn't be president?

Next question: Social Security works by loaning the money we pay as taxes to other government agencies, then using the interest the loans generate to pay benefits. (This is something that really pisses me off about Republican misdirection: the biggest chunk of the national debt consists of interagency loans, but they keep whining about China.) If they were able to get rid of Social Security, would we still be paying the Social Security taxes the rest of the government has come to rely on?
