I just got robosurveyed by Rasmussen

I'm surprised the thing didn't hang up when I strongly approved Barack Obama's performance.

Aside from the usual demographic questions, they wanted my opinion on:

- Is the economy getting better or worse
- Do I think we'll be in a recession in the next six months
- How would I rate the performance of Barack Obama
- Do I perefer low risk/low return investments or high risk/high return investments
- If I had money, would I buy real estate, corporate bonds, stocks, or put the money in the bank
- Is my employer laying off, hiring, or staying put
- Am I worried about being laid off
- Have I heard recent news about Jay Leno
- How Often do I watch late night TV
- Am I more or less likely to watch the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon

Thanks for the report, it's a mixed bag of questions.

When they called did they ask for a specific person or did they just question the phone answerer?

it went on to explain my answers would be used on surveys in radio and television. It then asked if I was over 18. I pressed 1 and the fun began. I did note that there was another question about halfway through that asked for age ranges that I assume was a 2x check.

Mrs. OBD hates surveys, but once upon a time I was a political science major, so I feel a certain professional obligation to answer.

-They asked about whether I was more likely/less likely/no change to shop at CVS because of the end of cigarette sales
- My status as a smoker (non/reformed/current)
- In Canada, drug stores are forbidden to sell cigarettes. Should the decision to sell cigarettes be up to the government or the drug store owner.

Surprisingly, no Obamacare/ACA questions

4. Strange sets of questions..

Here's how I'd answer.

- Is the economy getting better or worse - Better
- Do I think we'll be in a recession in the next six months - By the technical definition, no.
- How would I rate the performance of Barack Obama 5.5/10
- Do I perefer low risk/low return investments or high risk/high return investments High risk/high return (I'm young, so thats probably better for me at this point)
- If I had money, would I buy real estate, corporate bonds, stocks, or put the money in the bank - Stocks
- Is my employer laying off, hiring, or staying put - staying put
- Am I worried about being laid off - Yes (I'm an intern who graduates in May, so I guess that means Im laid off)
- Have I heard recent news about Jay Leno - yes
- How Often do I watch late night TV - Often (Daily Show and Colbert)
- Am I more or less likely to watch the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon - equal. Zero percent before. Zero percent chance after.

The CVS questions (I didn't mention them originally) are a result of the attempts of Cavuto & Dana Perrino to connect the removal of cigs to the ACA.

My answers were similar. I said "better" and rated the economy as "good" as opposed to excellent. I also said "no" on the recession question. They didn't ask, but I do think the DJIA will correct down to below 15K. I said "corporate bonds" since I moved much of my 401 K from stocks to bonds when the DJIA hit 16.5K.

Yes I heard of Leno, I viewed him somewhat favorably, I rarely watch latenight TV, and I'm somewhat more likely to watch Fallon.
