8 Viral Sochi Olympics Photos That Are Total Lies

Thousands of images are pouring out of Sochi in the lead-up to the Olympics. And things don't look great. There are unfinished buildings, a lack of winter weather, and an abundance of trash. But don't believe every image you see. Like so much of what gets passed on social media these days, a lot of them aren't exactly what they claim.

There won't be any shaking it now.

I have to admit, in some ways I'm getting a kick out of the way Putin and some of his horrific policies are getting lashed on social media. True or untrue, its kinda fun to poke fun because well, he deserves it.

On the other hand, the Russian people have a lot to be proud of for these Olympics and I'm deeply uncomfortable with the outrageous broadbrushing going on here. Damn ugly.

I love the Olympics...maybe not so happy about Putin's Russia but currently it is what it is.

There were SO many negative articles before the start, however there was an article a few days ago in the LA Times that was *shock*...positive. The athletes are giving the venues (White as the biggest exception) good marks.

Go Team USA!

p.s...and the weather has been good.

Right out of the GOP play book. Attacking the messenger instead of the message.

They only thaw him out for Olympics and a few other events. He's part wood frog.

They have to apply make-up to make him look older than his biological age. And the hair's always been a toupe; even part wood frogs don't have hair.

In all the years I've been a fan of the Olympics, I couldn't care less about the 2014 games.
The opening ceremonies? Bland and clumsy. Zilch in showmanship.
The host country? Nice landscape, diverse population, and pathetic politics...like Arizona.
The only interesting bit is the people who are unhappy that the rest of us aren't falling all over ourselves in fawning admiration.
A big yawn in February.
