her sister. Both were murdered in her home in Pittsburgh. She was a brilliant young physician. SHe was my co-worker for five years on a research project. She was also my friend.

Her story made the national news because her sister, Mary Wolfe, is a state legislator here in Iowa. Sarah and her sisters grew up in eastern Iowa. It is heartbreaking to lose such wonderful young women who have given so freely of themselves to so many.

Sarah had the most gorgeous twinkling eyes and beaming smile. It is hard to believe that such incandescence could be lost to the universe. Somewhere Sarah still shines on us.

A very good friend of mine was murdered last year (stabbed 30 times), so I know something about how you are feeling. It's a shock to lose somebody because of a sudden illness or accident, but when that person is wrenched out of your life because of a deliberate evil act of violence, it makes the pain so much greater. I hope they catch the creep who did this. It won't bring your friend back, but at least the perpetrator won't be able to do it again. The 2 men who murdered my friend are now in prison for the rest of their lives. It does help to have that closure and it's allowed me to think of my friend with laughter as well as tears.

Again, I am so very, very sorry. Your friends sounds like she was a very lovely human being.
