The problem with fracking

is that most don't recognize the dangers of it. To me, the science behind isn't definitive and the risks are way too high for such a small reward. The potential to contaminate water sources that are safe for human consumption are sky high. For those unaware water from unconfined aquifers, lakes and rivers are considered contaminated. Thus, it requires a lot more money to treat such water as a result. However confined aquifers have water that isn't necessary to go through such extensive treatments. It has become cost effective to finally obtain water from confined aquifers in the modern era. But with the hard push for fracking we are in danger of contaminating even the few sources of good water we have in the confined aquifers.

The horror stories that I have heard from others about what they use to fill in what they extract from fracking would disturb any human being. And the worst part of all is how do you track these substances as they traverse under the terrain?

is in our best interest unfortunately. While the rest of the world moves forward. How peculiar it is to watch everyone else makes strides while the U.S. lingers in limbo....

that fracking as practiced in the U.S., constitutes a threat to the environment and human health.

In the video below, it is important to realize what he is saying, that it took over ten to fifteen years for the real dangers to become obvious.

It is also important to realize that the earlier efforts to do fracking is that back when fracking was vertical fracking, the process was cleaner and safer. But now fracking is usually horizontal, and it is tremendously harmful to the environment including the air people breath and the water used for drinking and irrigating crops.
