WSJ Editor: Intoxicated Sexual Assault Victims Are Just As Guilty As Their Attackers
Wall Street Journal editor James Taranto claimed that cases of "'sexual assault' on campus" that involve alcohol are really victimless crimes in which both parties are equally guilty.
In his February 10 WSJ column, Taranto baselessly argued that men are often unfairly accused in sexual assault cases on college campuses, particularly when both men and women involved in the case were drinking (emphasis added):

(153,150 posts)from a guy who called BS on such sentiment - he said he and many of his friends had inbibed a lot of liquor while in college and never even thought about raping a woman.....I suspect that men like James Taranto are the kind of guys who DID engage in such criminal behavior, and in their tiny minds blaming the woman absolves them of any guilt

(39,154 posts)It's a law of nature, like gravity. We must not blame the poor, confused rapist.
How many rapes are caused by criminal sexual assault? Oh yeah, all of them. How many could have been prevented by an absence of men willing to commit such a crime? Again, all of them.
