Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Recliner) thinks he is done answering residency questions

Sen. Pat Roberts is done entertaining questions about how much time he spends in his home state of Kansas.

The longtime GOP senator declined Tuesday morning to answer questions about a recent New York Times article that found Roberts is registered to vote at the home of two donors, rather than rental property he owns in Dodge City, Kan. He also owns a house in Alexandria, Va., a suburb of Washington.

After giving a speech about his legislation to reverse a proposed crackdown by the IRS on politically active nonprofit groups, Roberts was asked if he is concerned about the residency revelations. As he descended a staircase in the Senate designated for lawmakers’ use only, he replied “excuse me” and walked toward an exit from the Capitol.

Asked if he would discuss the topic at all, Roberts said “no” and continued outside.

Ah, yes, writing legislation to protect the reich wing donor groups and their IRS standing is a great way to represent Kansans.
