(22,271 posts)whenever a guy would come over to my house was to watch his interaction with my cats. Ignoring them sealed his fate. My (now) husband reached out and picked up one of my fur babies, but her on his lap and just petted and petted her for the longest time. Sez I to myself, "hmmmmm." That was 14 years ago.

(3,596 posts)There will be exhaustive Congressional hearings about these anchor puppies. They will want to bring their mother and father and all their half-brothers and sisters in. And then they will want free education and welfare and health insurance.
This is a matter of top national urgency. Darrel Issa to the rescue. So glad we have him looking after the nation's interests.

(81,192 posts)I LOVE this guy and I love his heart! It's undoubtedly huge - full of those four puppies and I'll bet there's STILL room for many more!
AND they're litter mates. He's gonna have a WUNNNNderful time with them back home! Seriously! We adopted two tiny kitties who were litter mates awhile back. Almost TOO wonderful! They keep each other company, they bathe each other, they sleep together, they play together, they snuggle together, and they seem extremely well-adjusted - from the get-go! I think that familiarity helped keep them calm and confident as they were growing. No shock of separation or anything. They had each other, and it seemed to be comforting, or something. And it's a dividend that's still paying like gangbusters, some five years later! We WILL do it again next time! Litter mates. They just absolutely ROCK!!!
HIGHLY recommended!!!

After the reports of them shooting strays this is an incredible story of love and compassion. Russians need not apply.

(17,111 posts)There are some over there doing what they can.
Putin ruined the total area. I don't even know if they could get into Sochi to find their dogs if they wanted them.
Somebody is taking care of those puppehs and of most of the ones we see. They appear healthy and unafraid.(or they did)

(3,596 posts)as a result of the order to kill all strays. I have yet to see a story on this but would welcome a link.
It just seems Putin is doing what Russian autocrats have done before whether it was Stalin and his mass killings and gulags or during the Czar the pogroms against Gypsies and Jews. They go after those that are largely defenseless because they are soulless individuals.
I'm not saying that all Russians are soulless but their autocratic leaders are.

He should keep the one in the first picture, they're starting to look alike, like soul mates.

(37,726 posts)Those are really KGB secret agents dressed up like puppies, who are trying to infiltrate the USA and cause mass turbidity, calamity and other assorted and sundry horseshit. The GOP wishes to raise taxes on the poor, send all the rest of America's jobs overseas, place the old, the disabled and hungry out on the back porch with the "Foodstampers" and increase spending at the Pentagon.
The pups are beauties. I have two pups now and I'd take another in a heartbeat, but I'm too old to go through another divorce. I hope they all find a wonderful forever home in the "Free World"

(1,554 posts)As a former 10 year resident of Telluride I am feeling very proud! Not only is he an excellent representative of the amazing skiers and boarders that reside in that most beautiful town, but he is also indicative of the attitude of the people who live there. I know many of the coaches for the local freestyle team and I am sure that they are all smiles today. T'ride is beyond proud for what Gus represents on and off the slopes! Bravo Mr. Kenworthy, Bravo!
