http://www.statesman.com/news/news/almost-90000-people-in-texas-chose-health-insuranc/ndMh9/"Close to 90,000 people in Texas chose health insurance plans last month on the federally run marketplace set up by the Affordable Care Act, according to the latest federal numbers released Wednesday.
That was a 75 percent increase in the number of Texans signed up, but less than the roughly 100,000 people in Texas who signed up in December."
I don't know what the total numbers are but am happy my fellow Texans have this opportunity.

(112,120 posts)1. I think that the number is around 200,000 now.
Just imagine what the response would be if the politicians in this state encouraged people to comply with the law rather than advocating for repeal.

would not be able to get elected because they would be Democrats

(14,725 posts)5. What are the number of eligible uninsured?
Can't get good data on that.

I have not found nearly as many people complaining about it lately. I have also found the "your misinformation that you got from someone who heard it from someone else could hurt/kill somebody..." seems to work on a few.

(14,725 posts)4. I had 2 different people tell me their health care costs were going up.
This was at the very beginning and I didn't have the ability to challenge them or have a site that would give them information. Still bummed about that.
