Michael Dunn Jury Update

The Dunn jury asked a question. They wanted to know if they could not come back with a verdict on one count, but come back with a verdict on all the other counts. The judge said that they indeed could come back without a verdict on one count and come back with verdicts on all the other counts.

on the other four counts, but then the First Degree portion would be ruled a mistrial.... and they can re-try if they want.

2nd is a lesser included here so if he gets convicted of that with a hung jury on 1st I think it might be over.

Dunn would still get sentenced for any of the verdicts that come back even if one of them was deadlocked. #DunnTrial

Michael Skolnik ‏@MichaelSkolnik 1h
If deadlocked, the case would be a mistrial for that 1 verdict and it could go for retrial. #DunnTrial

I believe they have to choose one of the above as it pertains to the murder charge. It's either 1st, 2nd or manslaughter. Not a combination.

Any murder charge, including manslaughter, is going to put him away for a long time due to the use of a gun and assuming the judge doesn't cut him some slack.

he should at least be found guilty of vandalism on the car because heck you know how property is more valuable than lives of black teens.

guilty on first degree because he or she is afraid of backlash....therefore they are hanging the jury...My experience as a juror on a murder trial tells me they have one person that is holding out. They are trying to work out a deal that juror can live with.
