'Casuse they don't seem to be the variety of knuckle-draggers controlling the Republicans. Sea walls and shelters on the scale needed are "Big Government" projects, and they're reflexively against them.

And supporting projects of that size would be tacit admission that climate change is real, and not a "commie-lib" invention.
