I Would Like to See A Comprehensive Study On the Cost of "Conservatism"

I read this article: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/02/16/study-sounds-el-nino-alarm-for-later-this-year/

Reading it made me sad, of course. And it made me wonder whether we could have acted on climate change but for the "conservative" thought virus and climate science deniers. I am not sure we could have mustered the political will, actually, but it would be interesting to have tried.

And then I think of all of the other scourges either brought on or worsened by "conservatism" and "conservatives." We have suffering and misery brought to us vis a vis unnecessary wars. "Conservatives" clearly crashed the economy. "Conservatives" and their tax mythology have divested the middle class. By cutting funding for education "conservatives" have saddled an entire generation with unprecedented debt for student loans. "Conservatives" have undermined government with their disinformation and phony scandals.

The list goes on and on. What could we have accomplished if only we didn't have to carry "conservative" dead weight?
